"The Possibilities of what it could be"

“The Possibilities of what it could be”

January 19, 2016 // Dennis Tan

An abstract painting that derive right after watching creatures from the abyss. It’s strange, alien, completely engrossing, similar to what this painting invokes.

Biography
Growing up in what seemed like a mishmash collage of cruel, painful, beautiful, funny, events, characters and places. I feel very fortunate to be an artist to have such colorful history to draw from. Its not so much the memory itself that I take inspiration from, but rather how all these experiences has shaped my heart and soul into myriads of deep hues of colors, that it finds its way pouring into my canvas. I am inspired through my expressive energy coming from the core of my being. As a spiritual person, I am able to tap into spatial dimension using pure emotion to convey innate expression into physical manifestation. Currently working on several collections that is inspired from our oneness with nature, and angels series, an inquest into self.
Artist Statement
I see my purpose as an artist, to promote beauty in humanity through our oneness and self realization. To bring light into our disconnection with nature, and self. Art is a healing vessel, through inquest into our nature, and recognizing beauty, momentarily detaching us from our attachments.
Art Education
I am mostly self taught, through my own self inquiries, combine with my passion to be self-realized, a creator of my own reality. Nature is my greatest teacher, as my heart paves the road to my bliss.
Awards
The awards I received is that from those who are inspired, healed, and connects to my work. I don't aspire to paint to garner accolades as my purpose, but to be able to express a message of beauty and contemplation, and be lost in the process of its creation. The fiscal rewards is just a means to create more, and to share more.
