Brazilian artist Demeuse learned she had a passion for art when watching her mom painting. Her carrer in advertising and marketing was left behind in her hometown Porto Alegre. "I was drawn to advertising because I always fascinated to the idea of communicating through an image, and now I can relay that to my art." Since 2006 when the artist moved to California, her bigger passion has become her carrer and her work can now be seen in many collectors home, from San Diego, to Chicago and New York. Demeuse often works closely with her clients on creating commissioned pieces to their taste.
Art transforms the spaces we live, work and play, so I am really fortunate to create it. I enjoy every part of the process, since i put the first color in a plain white canvas to the last layer added to a finished piece of art. Being from Brazil, where people with almost nothing or so little are happy and celebrate carnaval and life on the streets every year, makes me appreciate de little things more. All the love I have for life and warmth from the people in my country can be felt in my art, because that's part if whom I am. My inspiration come from travels and amazing places I've visit, but even more from the simplest things in life, like the smell of rain, a beautifully sunny day at the beach, a friens loud laugh or my son's Jordan first smile every morning. Painting is such a satysfying process of discovery, the final destination is just an extra bonus. In a time where information is everywhere , instantly and cultures are colliding as never before, my goal as an artist is to make a lasting impression with everyone who comes in contact with my work. I want the viewers to be touched and connected to what they see.
