Biography
I am a nationally published illustrator and portrait artist having created award winning art for national corporations, advertising agencies and publishers of books, magazines and collectibles for forty years. I have been the recipient of many regional , national and international art and advertising art awards on the internet and on site. Artist Statement
I am primarily a realist illustrator that creates portrait and figure work for advertising, the publishing industry, and the entertainment and collectibles industries. My chosen medium is Gouache on illustration board. I have worked in all mediums but prefer Gouache as it lends itself to the detail work that I do. It must be covered with UV ray safe plexiglass as the paint surface can mar easily. My style could best be described as slick, detailed and dramatic very much in the style and approach of such icons of illustration: Gil Elvgren, Bob Peak, Frank McCarthy, Robert McGinnis and Jon Whitcomb.
