Christina Twomey is a abstract artist who loves that the art she creates can become a fun reflection of its new owner’s personality. Twomey is inspired mostly by her incredible friends, her partner in life, traveling, cooking & eating delicious food, great wine, music, sunny weather, and her really awesome dog, Elia.
Twomey is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota and is currently enjoying and living in Beverly Hills, California – thanks to its distinct climate differences. Twomey has also lived in Taipei, Taiwan, Nanjing, China, Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Seattle, Washington.
Since childhood, Twomey has collected a sumptuous array of experiences and accomplishments. She’s won over 100 metals with the United States Figure Skating Association, was Head Captain and All Conference of her high school ice hockey team – and returned to coach for three years during college. She was also awarded the Allen Dunn trophy for scholastic and athletic achievement in her younger years.
At the age of 15, Twomey spent a summer in Taipei, Taiwan studying martial arts and opera at a prestigious camp with 9 other mischievous and un-chaperoned schoolmates (and packs of flying cockroaches). She returned to Mainland China as a tourist her senior year, and then again to Nanjing after graduating college, to teach English to 600+ high school students. In her professional career, she’s returned to Asia to aid in sourcing raw materials and components for SynergyLabs (www.SynergyLabs.com), a chemical manufacturer and supply chain distributor of world-renowned pet and veterinary products. She is also the Company’s top domestic sales manager averaging 100% growth M/M in 2014. She’s acquired millions of dollars of new and incremental business with top U.S. big box and mass merchandisers, distributor partners and independent retailers.
In her spare time (mainly occurring while racking up Delta SkyMiles and HiltonHonors points), Twomey has been working somewhat diligently on her first novel, The Black Orchid. She considers this project the most difficult of challenges she’s ever faced. It’s not easy to spill a novel out of your brain – and admires the continuous stream of people who do so. To aid in her progress, she’s also enjoyed taking a writing course at UCLA’s extension program, and has met some incredible people thanks to this journey.
Another odd fact, Twomey also holds credentials of ministry from the Universal Life Church, and is ordained to perform marriages, baptisms and funerals. She also loves spending time in the kitchen cooking fish, vegetables, frittatas, or pretty much anything Pinterest worthy. Her favorite cuisine to make is Thai, which she picked up at May’s Cookery School in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Twomey holds a B.A in International Relations with a concentration in Mandarin Chinese and East Asian Studies. Her passion for art and travel are evident, as her dream is to create exposure and interest for her pieces to cultures around the world. In return, she plans to reflect inspiration from her experiences to enhance and grow her work. Eventually she’d like to share a second residence outside of L.A, in Phuket, Thailand with Marsden, and of course, their beloved boxer, Elia.
